Accessibility Statement
Hardin County Pediatrics is committed to making this website and our services accessible to all patients, parents and caregivers, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
We believe every family deserves equal access to the information and services that help keep their children healthy. We strive to provide a website that works for the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
This website is designed to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, with ongoing work toward WCAG 2.2, Level AA where practical. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or other assistive technology.
Measures we take
- Clear page structure, with headings and landmarks.
- Keyboard access for every link, button and control.
- Visible focus outlines on links and buttons.
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Color contrast chosen for readable text and essential controls.
- Respect for your device’s reduced-motion setting.
- A Display & Comfort panel, opened from the button at the bottom of every page, to adjust text size, high contrast, readable spacing, reduced motion and decorations. Your choices are saved on your device.
- Pages that reflow when you zoom your browser up to 200%.
- A home page you can read in English or Spanish. These policy pages are currently in English only.
Outside services
Some services on or linked from this website are run by other companies, including the Ask Hardin chat assistant (Teddy Chat), the Patient Portal, the online payment page and the new patient forms. We cannot always guarantee the accessibility of their content. If you run into a barrier in one of these services, please contact us and we will work with the company to address it or offer you another way to get what you need.
Feedback and accommodations
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or need information from it in another format, please contact our office. We welcome your feedback and will respond promptly.
